Prince & Princess of Ireland

Chapter  Six- The  First   Step  of  the  Journey

Torin woke up. Had all that talk been a dream? No. Torin looked around the room. He was in one of the many rooms in the mansion. Torin woke up Elda.

"Elda, psst. Psst!" Elda sat up.

"What are you pssssssting me for?" She said crossing her arms.

"Never mind about that. We have to leave."

"Already? The sun's not even up. What about breakfast? We have to say goodbye, and pack some food."

"And pack some food we will, so let's go."

"We didn't even ask, Torin! That's not the Irish way to steal someone's food."

A mischievous grin lit up Torin's face. He said three words and then hopped up from the bed.

"We're not Irish." Was all he said. Elda tightened her fists.

"Ohh, alright. You win this time. Let's go."

The two snuck downstairs and packed some sandwiches, dried fish, and some other stuff. They put it in a bag and headed out. They walked for a while in silence and then Elda spoke up.

"Do you think there's really a castle waiting for us?" She said, her voice sounding unsure.

"Of course there is. I'm sure there will be food. In fact..........." Torin hesitated. "There's going to be a lot of food. Good food too." He held his stomach.

He secretly reached his hand into the bag and carefully-

"Ohhhh no you don't!" Elda slapped his hand.

"Hey, what was that for?" Torin said rubbing his hand.

"We have to savor the food for as long as possible. Now, no touching it, or I'll slap ya again. You hear me?"

Torin crossed his arms.

"Whatever." He mumbled under his breath.

They finally reached the shore and their boat was still there. They got in and began rowing. The sun was now peeking over the trees and they began to row faster. They rowed and rowed forever until they saw what they thought was land. They rowed closer and found that it was land. They had been rowing for a whole day and a half now. They were very far from the mansion.

When they reached the island they spotted a campfire. Torin whispered to Elda.

"Look. There's people here. Be on your best behavior. And also, let me do the talking!"

"Fine. I won't talk unless you say something stupid."

"Fine."

"Good."

The two walked closer and closer to the campfire crouching behind bushes and trees, trying to not be seen. They kept sneaking and sneaking until they heard a sound, and felt something grab their-
